We are actively recruiting a Life Enrichment Coordinator here at Givens Highland Farms (Black Mountain location)! The primary purpose of this position is to promote the seven dimensions of wellness by designing and implementing activities and programs for independent living residents at Givens Highland Farms. This team member will be expected to collaborate internally and externally with fellow team members, residents, and community leaders to ensure the wellness needs of independent living residents are met. This position is also responsible for creating and distributing communications regarding the coordination of programs and events including maintaining flyers, calendars, and newsletters. Flexibility with scheduling is a must as this position involves occasional weekday evenings, some weekends, and possibly holidays.
The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in wellness / health promotion, Exercise Science/Physiology, a Recreational Therapy or related field, with emphasis in gerontology, health promotion, and /or exercise physiology. This individual must be a team player and possess a good driving record with either a CDL license to drive a 25 passenger bus or have the ability to obtain their CDL. Prior experience implementing multi-dimensional programs for seniors preferred, with 5 years or more liaison experience in CCRC/LPC setting. Ability to meet the physical demands of this position and solid communication skills are required. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite required.
