We are now recruiting our Executive Chef, a well-seasoned individual looking to dive into this leadership role. This will be an exempt position, and this team member will help supervise our lead cooks and cooks.

Position Description

The primary purpose of your position is to provide direct leadership, supervision, technical guidance, and support to the Dining Services Department. You will assist in planning and directing all activities for the culinary team to provide the highest quality of service. Assist in revising department procedures for the culinary operations in compliance with Givens Highland Farms policies and vision to assure the highest degree of quality care at all times. Minimum Education

  • Prefer higher education degree from an American Culinary Federation certified curriculum program;
  • Achievement of Certified Executive Sous Chef (CEC) or Certified Master Chef (CMC) is desired.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years progressive experience in hospitality, multi-unit, medium volume food services operations or other related fields are desired;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthy trends in foods and diets, dietary requirements and restrictions for senior adults; creativity and innovation in menu planning and presentation; achievement in training, motivational, and organizational skills; and success in management of a budget, purchasing, and payroll control; 
  • Previous experience in opening new operations is desirable;
  • Certified in Serve Safe & Sanitation or equivalent food handler’s certificate.
