Residents of Givens Highland Farms can explore a healthy and balanced lifestyle in an inspirational natural setting that lends itself to the optimal well-being of body, mind, and spirit.

Our community features a very walkable campus where you can explore the nature trail, stop for a visit by the pond, or simply enjoy the clean mountain air. Yoga, Tai Chi, line dancing, our Hiking Club are just some of the various programs offered to stay active and have some fun. Or, choose to spend the day in neighboring Asheville taking in the many art museums, festivals, and more scheduled throughout the year.

Social opportunities abound with trips to various local attractions in Western North Carolina and beyond. Local community leaders and university professors often pay a visit to lead discussion groups or give lectures on a variety of topics including healthy aging. Resident-led special interest groups and clubs are an excellent way for newcomers to get to know neighbors and enjoy shared activities.

Often our residents tell us their lives are so full that they wonder how they ever found time to work. Resident, Jim Cogswell says, "Through our activities, we residents don't wait for someone to serve us, we find a way to serve the whole community!"

With over 36 interest groups offering opportunities for physical, cultural and social interaction, enjoy the purposeful, satisfying, and meaningful lifestyle awaiting you at Givens Highland Farms.
